Afternoon - USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values firm to higher on moderate to fairly good demand and 
light offerings. Select and Choice rib and loin cuts steady while chuck and
round cuts steady to firm. Beef trimmings sharply lower on light demand and
moderate to heavy offerings.

Prices are 6 cents higher for Medium and 3 cents higher for Extra Large and
Large. The undertone is higher. Supplies are moderate. The New York shell
egg inventory is 11% lower than a week ago. Demand is fairly good to good,
while offerings are light. Market activity is moderate to active.
